Caroline Shadle, who was born and raised in Chicago, is a doctoral candidate in the Interdisciplinary PhD in Theatre and Drama program. She researches the history of 1930s Chicago dance that was funded by the WPA’s Federal Theatre Project and teaches undergraduate students across humanities disciplines. Before returning to school, Caroline worked as a non-profit arts administrator. She continues to stay active as a dancer.
