Karen manages the CFS program. She advises students to help them land meaningful internships, where they build skills, gain experience and expand their connections. Karen engages community stakeholders/employers to help them productively utilize and educate student interns. Karen has over 25 years of professional experience helping people achieve their career goals and providing them the resources to perform at their best. She has worked in the higher education, non-profit, and global financial services industries.  Since 2007, Karen has helped Northwestern’s Chicago Field Studies program expand it's course offerings, increase the number of students participating in the program, and expand the types and number of employers partnering with us and hosting interns. She builds beneficial relationships with employers and helps students know and market themselves, facilitating valuable internships between student and employer. She helps students think more critically about their experiences and integrate those insights into their future career plans.
